In the first quarter of 2024, the Art and Design app category saw significant activity in Lebanon. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the top 5 apps on a unified platform, based on data from Sensor Tower.

AR Drawing Sketch Paint by Amazic Fun Hub experienced remarkable growth in weekly downloads, starting with just 1 download in mid-January and peaking at around 5.4K in mid-February. The app maintained a relatively high download rate, closing the quarter with nearly 4K downloads per week. Active users followed a similar upward trajectory, beginning with 201 in late January and reaching approximately 15.8K by the end of March.

AR Draw Sketch: Sketch & Trace from Banix Studio had a more consistent performance. Weekly downloads fluctuated around 1.4K to 2.6K throughout the quarter. Active users showed a steady increase, beginning with 4.1K at the start of January and reaching about 4.2K by the end of March.

Canva: Design, Art & AI Editor, a popular app by Canva, reported stable weekly revenue, ranging from $1.4K to $2K. Weekly downloads saw a spike from around 2.4K in early January to 3.8K in mid-March, before dropping to about 1.9K by the end of the quarter. Active users remained strong, peaking at over 30.6K in early March and settling at 25K by the end of March.

ibis Paint X by ibis inc. showed modest revenue, with a notable peak of $72 in mid-March. Downloads ranged from about 859 to 1.8K weekly, while active users were consistently high, starting at 13.6K in early January and maintaining over 13K towards the end of March.

AR Drawing Sketch & Art Trace from Rocket Succeed Together, a newer entrant, began its journey with a modest 6 downloads in late January but quickly ramped up to over 2.6K by the end of March. Active users also grew from 551 in early February to over 3.1K by the quarter’s end.
